The 2020 edition of the historic calendar of the Arma tells of the daily heroism of the Carabinieri through the tables created by the artist Mimmo Paladino accompanied by the texts of the writer Margaret Mazzantini.
The gold-colored cover recalls the tradition of the mosaics of Ravenna and the Sienese masters and celebrates the first Gold Medal for Military Valor awarded on 5 June 1920 to the Flag of the Carabinieri for participation in the First World War.
Mimmo Paladino is one of the greatest contemporary Italian artists, a famous exponent of the Transavantgarde, permanently present with his works in the main international museums, including the Metropolitan Museum in New York.
With the style and elegance that have always distinguished his art, Mimmo Paladino has transformed the historic calendar into an art object.
Honor to the Carabinieri and ... to Mimmo Paladino!
